King Joffrey may be dead and buried, but his spirit lives on.

On Friday, former Game of Thrones actor Jack Gleeson took part in a panel at New York Comic Con and, just for a moment, it was as though one of the show's greatest villains had never left.

Unsurprisingly, Gleeson was peppered with Thrones-related questions during the panel. Eventually, someone asked who he the thinks will be the sitting on the Iron Throne when the story comes to an end.

Gleeson's answer was a slightly unexpected one. In short, Vanity Fair reports, he likes the idea of one particular fan theory that suggests no one will end up on the Iron Throne -- because there will be no throne left to end up on.

Taking it further, Gleeson likes the idea that the Throne will be melted down so the Valyrian Steel can be used against the White Walkers that look set to invade Westeros in Season 6.

"I think that's kind of a cool idea," he said. "The monarchy is literally dissolved."
