Along with the rest of the world: Kobe Bryant loves Game of Thrones.

Unlike the rest of us: the retired basketball star has endless resources, and yesterday got to meet George R.R. Martin to learn about "the art of story." Casual.

The pair took a photo to commemorate the meeting:

Bryant has made no secret of his GoT fandom, after the baller told Sports Illustrated that he binge-watched the entire TV series months after his final NBA game and his wife got him a signed book for Christmas last year.

The one-time MVP has never been afraid to reach out to people he admires, like Vogue's Anna Wintour, Nike CEO Mark Parker, and Apple's Jony Ive. Now that he's met Martin, the basketball star has his eyes on another prestigious author and that's Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

Your move, J.K.
