Kyrie Irving and Questlove make basketball music in hypnotic new Nike ad
On drums: Percussionist extraordinaire Questlove.
And on, um, dribbles: NBA point guard Kyrie Irving.
That combination is the crux of a very cool new Nike ad, which features the Cleveland Cavaliers star and the hip-hop legend making music together. Questlove plays his typical drum kit -- but some rhythmic dribbling from Irving lends quite the creative twist.

The ad is for Irving's new Nike signature sneaker. It debuted on Christmas Day, but you get a pass if you missed it over the long holiday weekend.
Longtime hoop-heads, of course, will note that the Irving-Questlove spot bears a resemblance to this classic Nike commercial from 2001.
The lesson here, as always? Nike makes good ads.
