This 'La La Land' mashup with a Rahman song is just so perfect

That La La Land is Bollywood-like is accepted now. Given the elaborate sets, the romance, the nostalgia, the song-and-dance sequences, it is a Bollywood film at its core.

Take the music out of La La Land and it's not half as appealing. Put the music in there, albeit an Indian kind, and see the magic unfold.

That's what Remix Mama (a Facebook page for mashup songs and trailer remixes) did and nailed it completely.

They mashed up La La Land's "Lovely Night Dance" and a classic 90s soundtrack "Vennilave Vennilave" by Grammy-winning Indian composer A.R. Rahman.

It's so beautifully in sync that you actually wish this was the original. It's almost as if Rahman composed it for this film, and no other.

Who knows La La Land could have actually won the Oscar then!
