Lana del Rey is getting ready to release her fourth album, Lust for Life, and with this new musical chapter comes new imagery.

Don't worry, she's not giving up the witch-inspired vibe. Rather, she's re-thinking the all-American air (like, the giant flag in "Born to Die") that follows her music. And yes, of course Donald Trump is to blame.

When asked about how she feels about romanticizing America in her songs considering the current administration, Del Rey discussed how she's become uncomfortable with it all.

“I definitely changed my visuals on my tour videos,” Del Rey said in an extensive interview with Pitchfork published this week. “I’m not going to have the American flag waving while I’m singing ‘Born to Die.’ It’s not going to happen. I’d rather have static. It’s a transitional period, and I’m super aware of that. I think it would be inappropriate to be in France with an American flag. It would feel weird to me now—it didn’t feel weird in 2013.”

Del Rey also discussed how she's begun including political themes in her songwriting and interviews, including how she's changed how she talks about feminism.

"Women started to feel less safe under this administration instantly. What if they take away Planned Parenthood? What if we can’t get birth control? Now, when people ask me those questions, I feel a little differently," Del Rey said. "The reason why I asked Stevie Nicks to be on the record is because she changes when her environment changes, and I’m like that as well."

You can read the full interview here, and listen to Lust for Life on July 21.
