Lines to donate blood in Las Vegas are six hours long
Las Vegas came out in full force to donate blood in the wake of Sunday's tragic concert shooting.
Volunteers headed to a city blood center Monday morning and joined the effort to help in the aftermath of 58 dead and hundreds injured in a mass shooting Sunday night at an outdoor concert near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Heartwarming posts on social media were coming in of people offering their time to wait in line at the United Blood Services to give blood. Snap Maps showed videos of lines stretching for blocks and blocks, donations getting carted in, and even shots inside the center once people made it in.

But no matter the lines, people were touched to see the compassion and love.

Musicians are coming out to entertain those enduring long wait to give blood. Support dogs are out in force.

Uber and Lyft were giving free or low-cost rides in the area. An airline offered free flights for gun victims' family and loved ones.
