LaVar Ball -- who is neither a player nor a coach, but a star player's parent -- has been the talk of March Madness so far.

We gave you the rundown on Ball on Monday (check it out here), but had to come back with an important update. Ball's boastful hubris has now led him to the place where boastful hubris inevitably leads everyone in 2017: Getting roasted on Twitter.

There's even a hashtag, so you know it's real.

LaVar Ball -- whose son Lonzo is a superstar freshman point guard for UCLA -- has made a habit of loud-mouthed bragging all this season. But he topped himself in an interview published Monday by saying he could have beat Michael Jordan one-on-one during their respective primes. (Counterpoint: Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time, while LaVar Ball averaged two points per game in the one season he played at Washington State in the late 80s.)

That was apparently one bombastic claim too many for the basketball world, which struck back via Twitter and spawned a hashtag: #LaVarBallSays.

The formula for this meme is simple but effective: Use the hashtag, then make up whatever claim you think might next emerge from LaVar Ball's mouth.

Anyway, here are some highlights.

Lonzo Ball, whose Twitter account has 85,000 followers and more than 4,000 posts to its name, is yet to chime in on the hashtag.
