INDIO, California -- During their headlining set at Coachella Friday night, the recently reunited LCD Soundsystem paid tribute to the late David Bowie with a powerful and, for some, tear-inducing cover of "Heroes."

They played the hits (of course) like "I Can Change," "New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down,"  and "Tribulations," before covering both the 1977 classic and Guns N' Roses' "November Rain." (Guns N' Roses will headline Saturday night.)

The moment was just one of several standouts from the first day of Coachella. Kanye West made a surprise (and ever-so-brief) appearance during A$AP Rocky's set, while Seal reportedly showed up to accompany Gallant in performing his hit "Weight in Gold."
