LeBron's epic Game 7 block should be the new NBA logo
On Sunday night, a new play entered Cleveland sports lore, alongside The Drive, The Fumble, and The Shot -- The Block.
The difference this time? Unlike those other moments, LeBron James' epic block of Andre Iguodala helped a professional sports franchise from Cleveland secure the city's first championship -- instead of ushering in heartbreak for its sports fans.
Not only was an epic moment for the city, it was an epic moment for James, who made good on his promise to bring a championship to his hometown team in dominating fashion, earning the NBA Finals MVP award.

Sounds like a great time to revamp the NBA logo.
The NBA logo is, as it has been for over 40 years, the silhouette of Lakers legend Jerry West. Now, I can hear the howls of outrage and blasphemy from this side of the keyboard but West himself has said he's totally okay with another player becoming the logo.

Michael Jordan has his "Jumpman" logo. Larry Bird is enshrined in video game history. And Magic Johnson has a whole NBA franchise named after him. (Okay, not really, but maybe?)
And, besides, we already made the new logo using LeBron's "The Block." Check it out below.
Looks good, no?
Warriors fans would be forgiven for disagreeing but it's hard designing a logo around throwing a mouthpiece.
