LEGO releases 'Beauty and the Beast' blocks just in time for the live-action film

Get those hard-bottomed slippers ready.

Parents, make sure you have hard-bottomed slippers ready to go because your house is about to turn into a plastic minefield.

Just in time for the heavily anticipated Mar. 17 release of Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast, LEGO has announced a new line of signature blocks called BrickHeadz to bring your favorite animated characters home.

"LEGO's new line of BrickHeadz sets feature fun and stylized versions of iconic characters from movies, TV series, games and comics, reimagined in colorful brick form using LEGO System bricks with distinct details for a humorous twist," the company's press release read.

Standing over two inches tall, LEGO will offer both Belle and a Beast set commemorate one of Disney's most popular couples.

The Belle set includes colorful LEGO System bricks that "recreate all of her iconic details from the classic Disney animation Beauty and the Beast, including buildable flowing hair with a ribbon and earrings," the company explained.

The Beast set also features colorful bricks with buildable mane and horns, as seen in the original animation.

Each collection, costing US $9.99, will be available Mach 1 in LEGO Stores and on their website.
