Last week, NBCUniversal and the LEGO Group unveiled the first trailer for LEGO Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape, a 24-minute animated short that will debut in five installments on the Jurassic World YouTube channel each day next week before being included as part of a Jurassic World DVD bundle on Oct. 18. Even cooler? A clip from each installment will debut exclusively on Mashable before airing on YouTube.

In the first clip (above), rugged dinosaur trainer Owen Grady (AJ Lacascio) shows the hybrid dinosaurs who the alpha of the pack is.

The Indominus Escape finds Simon Masrani accidentally destroying one of Jurassic World's main attractions with his helicopter, forcing his trusted employee Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) to save the park. After some quick dino-DNA building in Dr. Wu’s lab, Claire comes up with the perfect solution that is sure to please Masrani and kids everywhere -- The Indominus rex -- the biggest, smartest, scariest hybrid dinosaur ever created.

When the Indominus escapes from its pen in a hungry rage, it's up to Owen to save the day. After a daring motorcycle chase that ends in a pile of bricks, Owen and Claire think they have the Indominus beat, but the dino is smarter than they thought.

After Claire creates a trap using some tasty treats, Owen quickly puts his training skills to the test and leads a pack of newly-trained hybrid dinosaurs to battle the Indominus rex in an action-packed finale. Will Owen and Claire stop the Indominus rex and save the park before it's too late? Find out in LEGO Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape.

Mashable will be debuting clips daily next week as well, so stay tuned.
