LONDON -- The Internet never forgets.

This was a lesson two football fans learned the hard way on Monday night, after tweets they sent back in 2015 about Leicester City -- and how they "will not win the league" -- came back to bite them.

First up is Adam Devlin, who was so confident that Leicester wouldn't win last December that he made the following promise.

People even warned him what would happen if he was wrong.

Flash-forward to Monday night when Leicester became the Premier League champions, and Devlin was regretting some of his decisions.

He wasn't the only one, either.

As the season progressed and Leicester kept up their run of form, this Arsenal supporter's tweet started to get more and more attention.

So much attention.

On Monday, his reaction was similar to Devlin's.

The lesson? No matter how sure you are about something happening, never, ever commit it to a tweet.

Ever.
