Well, that just happened.

Lena Dunham, creator and star of Girls, appeared on Today Friday morning to promote the final season of the HBO show. While being interviewed by Maria Shriver, Dunham threw everyone into shock and confusion when she casually started talking about penises on live morning television.

Shriver was thrown for such a loop that she kept asking Matt Lauer to start his segment so that the camera would cut away from her. But Lauer, being the playful guy he is, kept the attention solely on the two women and seemed to delight in Shriver's embarrassment.

Going out with a bang, indeed.
