Liam Payne is also going his own direction.

The One Direction member announced Thursday that he's signed a deal with the UK's Capitol Records, becoming the third member of the group to report a solo deal.

"Happy to have signed to @CapitolUK. They have an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in their footsteps," he wrote on Twitter. "One direction will always be my home and family but I'm very excited to see what this chapter brings."

Zayn Malik was the first to sign a solo deal in July 2015, a few months after leaving the boy band. The remaining members of the group announced their "extended hiatus" a month later. Just last month, Harry Styles announced a deal with Columbia.

When announcing their breakup break, the group said the point was to allow them to work on solo projects and that they "plan to work together in the future."
