Lin-Manuel Miranda continues to keep Puerto Rico in the conversation.

Just a few weeks ago, the Hamilton playwright created "Almost Like Praying" featuring all-star Latin celebrities. The song was in honor of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and all the proceeds went to Hispanic Federation.

The hurricane left around 3.5 million people without power, food and resources. So far, the non-profit raised over $14 million to help the island.

But he's not stopping there.

Since the humanitarian crisis, Miranda has been active on Twitter and keeping his 1.84 million fans informed on how to donate. And in a new interview with Teen Vogue Wednesday, he explained how he has hope for the island.

"It felt good to be doing something in the wake of this. In addition, I think if you look at any artist, any artist on this album, their tweets, their feed, their social media feed is full of ways to help Puerto Rico and things they're doing," he told Teen Vogue.

The Pulitzer Prize winner called out Trump and his administration over their lack of support to help the island. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands. His dedication to help the people of Puerto Rico has influenced others to help the cause.

"If you go to my Twitter feed, you're going to see so many incredible stories of people all over the world doing what they can for hurricane relief, for Puerto Rico, for the Virgin Islands. It's really inspiring," he told Teen Vogue.

"Little kids [are] sending in their allowance money and employers [are] matching their employees' donations. You see firehouses collecting funds." said Miranda. "You see people from all over the world really chipping in, and that gives me faith. And that gives me hope. And the fact that we're still talking about it I think speaks volumes to the generosity and spirit of everyday people."

Despite all the work that still needs to be done in Puerto Rico, he's positive the island will get stronger. As a result of his advocacy, he found a greater purpose to continue to fight and provide the island with hope.

"Listen, there's going to be no shortage of outrages to take up your attention and your time. We are in times of outrage; we are in a time of division; we are in a time of tragedy as the headline," he told the publication. "And yeah, I see my role now, nearly a month out, to continue to keep Puerto Rico and the citizens without power and the citizens without water in the conversation. And that's something everyone can do. If the spirit moves you to volunteer, volunteer."

"I see this as my new full-time job and writing musicals is my part-time job until there's a sense of normalcy on the Island, and I think that's true of a lot of people," he said.

While some heroes wear capes, people like Lin Manuel Miranda wear a flag on his chest proudly.
