Lin-Manuel Miranda teases brief 'Hamilton' return
Lin-Manuel Miranda won't throw away another shot at playing his musical incarnation of Alexander Hamilton.
The Hamilton creator and original star tweeted on Tuesday that he would be honored to reprise his role for Oscar López Rivera, a Puerto Rican nationalist whose sentence was just commuted by President Obama.
Rivera was part of the F.A.L.N., a military organization that advocated for Puerto Rico's independence. He was sentenced to 55 years in prison in 1981, and an additional 15 after an escape attempt in 1988.

Miranda replied to his own tweet by tagging New York City Council speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, who advocated Rivera's early release from a 70-year prison sentence. He thanked her for her hard work and then passed along a message for Rivera:

If the one night only in Chicago doesn't work out, Miranda is rumored to be reprising his iconic role for part of the London run in 2018.
