LONDON -- After the attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando that claimed the lives of at least 49 people, people around the world have joined hands to show their solidarity with the victims and the LGBTQ community.

Londoners united on Monday night at a vigil in Soho -- London's gay district -- where people gathered to show their support, mourn the victims and stand in defiance against terrorism.

At St. Anne's Church in Soho, people hugged as others laid floral tributes and lit candles.
