Lorde has fans hunting high and low for easter eggs in the 'Perfect Places' music video

👀

It's always a bit of an occasion when an international pop star releases a music video, but Lorde took things to another level this week with a little tease to her fans.

The New Zealand native released the gorgeous visuals for her song "Perfect Places," and along with the tweet she shared announcing it's presence, she also hinted at a few easter eggs hidden within the four-minute music video. Fans have been flooding Twitter with their guesses—some of which are hilarious, some accurate, and others are incredibly imaginative.

Much of what's been guessed has yet to receive confirmation from Lorde herself, but that doesn't mean they're not pretty plausible—like this person, who uncovered literal easter eggs in the video.

Another fan found a scene in the video to be a literal interpretation of lyrics to her song "Sober II."

Of course, people had to bring Taylor Swift into it—with a few referencing Paramore's Hayley Williams as well.

But at least one easter egg has been confirmed. Yes, that is apparently a hard-drive next to her in the boat. "Thought it was funny to bring the [Melodrama] files out in the boat. don't let them out of ur sight right?," she tweeted, confirming the fan's theory.

Until Lorde reveals all the hidden gems, we'll leave you with this astute observation.

If you're not going to include onion rings in your work, then please at least incorporate the dancing hot dog, Lorde!
