This Los Angeles Thanksgiving traffic jam is the most epic Mannequin Challenge ever

Aerial pictures and videos of a massive traffic jam during the Thanksgiving getaway in the Los Angeles area have caused hilarious reactions on social media.

The gridlock on the Interstate 405 in Los Angeles -- one of the busiest routes in the U.S. -- was filmed by KABC-TV as millions of Americans travel over the holidays.

The American Automobile Association says almost 49 million people will travel at least 50 miles or more from home this Thanksgiving -- a million more than last year and the most since 2007.

Social media users have weighed in with hilarious comments.

Some called it the "freeway version of the Mannequin Challenge":
