Luigi, a.k.a. the badass of the Mario Bros, dabs on his enemies before blowing them up

Did you know Luigi is a hip young dude who dabs?

In the brand new tactical combat game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Luigi will occasionally drop a dab after sending a rolling death bomb toward his enemies. 'Cause he's a badass.

Of the two goomba-stomping plumber brothers, Luigi always seemed like the one who was most in-tune with the goings on of youth culture, proven by this sick dab he does when he deploys his secondary weapon, the sentry, while not hiding behind cover. He may be open to enemy fire, but he doesn't care.

Nintendo has long had its ear to the ground when it comes to pop culture. In fact, this isn't the first time Luigi has dabbed.

As pointed out by the same Luigi-obsessed Twitter account, Luigi dabs during his rhythmic gymnastic routine in Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

And, actually, Luigi may have been ahead of the curve.

Here he can be seen dabbing in 2001's Super Smash Bros. Melee. Again, we would like to reiterate: Luigi was dabbing in the year two thousand one.

And here's a Luigi dab from Mario Party 2 for the NIntendo 64.

He's not even the only Nintendo character to do a dab. Here are Mario, Donkey Kong, and Waluigi busting out dabs.

That's a lot of dabs, and undoubtedly there will be a lot more in games to come.
