Here's how Manchester's soccer royalty expressed its grief.

How the soccer world mourned the Manchester attack

Manchester typically enjoys a reputation as one of the world's top soccer cities — it is, after all, home to two of the planet's most prominent club teams.

But when an explosion believed to be terrorism killed more than 20 people at an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on Monday night, the city mourned.

Among those to express support and condolences on social media were past and present stars from Manchester United and Manchester City, two Premier League clubs that are usually the fiercest of rivals.

Here's how Manchester's soccer royalty expressed its grief.
