Mae Whitman joins 'Gilmore Girls' revival, creating black hole in space, time, television
Only three years after Gilmore Girls ended in 2007, Lauren Graham returned to TV as another single mom with a young adult daughter -- this time as Sarah Braverman on Parenthood.
The shows were vastly different, as were Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), Amber Braverman (Mae Whitman) and their respective mothers. Now, though, TV Line has reported that Whitman will make an appearance in the Gilmore Girls Netflix revival -- so where does she fit into this parallel TV universe?

Graham's fictional daughters previously crossed paths at the Austin Television Festival in 2015, which hosted a Gilmore reunion with the cast and creator Amy Sherman-Palladino.
Details of Whitman's role are secret, but TV Line's Michael Ausiello confirmed she "shares a really fun (albeit small) moment with Graham that will delight Parenthood fans."
If it involves Parenthood, we'll probably cry anyway.
