Films being renamed to sound more British is as gloriously awkward as you'd expect

LONDON -- It's surprisingly easy to make a well-known film sound more British.

Just add in something about rain, tea, Brexit or anything that implies a general sense of overly apologetic awkwardness and you're halfway there.

This was the challenge set by the hashtag #MakeAFilmAwfullyBritish, which started trending in the UK on Sunday.

Unsurprisingly, one recurring theme was Brexit jokes.

The miserable weather also had a mention or two.

Mostly, though, there were a bunch of jokes about the core staples of British culture.
