The Gregory Brothers, a musical comedy group best known for their popular YouTube Songify the News series, are going globetrotting.

The Brooklyn-based family band on Wednesday launched a new series called Song Voyage. It was created by digital content studio Portal A and distributed by Maker Studios.

The comedy series follows the band as they travel the world -- to Australia, Japan, Mongolia, the Philippines, South Korea, and Vietnam -- to collaborate with offbeat musicians. At the end of every episode, the band debuts the fruit of their collaboration – a never-before-seen music video set to an original track.

Song Voyage is the type of show that could only have been conceived online," Nate Houghteling, co-founder and executive producer at Portal A, said in a statement. "It blurs the line between travel, comedy and music in a way that makes it truly one-of-a-kind.”

This is the latest show from Portal A, which launched its first original series White Collar Brawler on the web before making the leap to Esquire’s TV channel.

The first six episodes of Song Voyage premiered exclusively on The STATION by MAKER block on Sling TV.

Beginning Dec. 14, new episodes will become available every other week on both The Gregory Brothers' YouTube and Facebook channels as well as The STATION by MAKER YouTube and Facebook channels.
