Well, that was awkward.

Sometimes, when you're in the heat of competition, tempers can run high.

Robot Wars is absolutely no exception.

On Sunday's episode, the mightily named Team Behemoth took on the slightly-less-mightily-named Team Cherub. It was a close-fought match that went down to the wire, and ended in a decision from the judges.

Needless to say, one team member wasn't best pleased with the outcome:

Oh dear.

In fairness to Team Behemoth's captain Ant, he explained afterwards that he wasn't being a sore loser -- he was actually annoyed with his team's decision to swap their robot's weapon for the fight.

"The main reason I walked out there was because I was so annoyed with the rest of the team for making that decision not to go with a guaranteed win, with using a scoop," he said.

"It was proven that sometimes innovation doesn't pay out -- sometimes it's best to use what you know works."

Some people were sympathetic.

Others, less so.

We don't know if it's much of a consolation to Ant, but Team Cherub did go on to be beaten in the final in approximately four seconds by Team Eruption.

Actually, maybe that's not much of a consolation.
