Man's tweet about pie charts being useless causes hilarious chaos

Pie is great. Just not in chart form.

For people that think pie charts are an effect means of displaying data, one man on Twitter has news for you: they're utterly useless.

Economist and data analytics junkie, Max Roser, tweeted an image of pie charts versus bar charts to demonstrate how pie charts cannot accurately display the differences in close data.

The tweet went viral because the internet is a curious place full of curious people. Replies ranged from genuinely passionate tweets about data visualizations to hilarious pie chart memes.
