Mandy Moore finally revealed the reason she got a tattoo of sperm on her foot. We understand if your fist reaction is one of outrage and you are currently shrieking at your screen, "DOES A WOMAN NEED A REASON TO GET A SPERM TATTOO?"

Well, of course not gentle reader! But nonetheless, Moore has a sweet as candy story about the meaning behind her ink, which she shared on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Moore's sperm tattoo is a heartwarming act of solidarity.

It dates back to about a decade ago when Moore's was on tour, and her bandmates all had to share a shower, and they banned masturbating while bathing to set boundaries.

“It became this big joke, because one of my band members was like, ‘I don’t want babies on my feet.' And so we created a song called ‘Babies on My Feet’ that we sang on stage every night," Moore explained. "No one had any idea what we were talking about. To commemorate the tour, we all got babies on our feet, so I have a little sperm tattoo.”

Her pedicurist unwittingly tried to remove it to no avail, because you can't scrub away friendship.

Moore is currently starring in the NBC dramedy, This Is Us, which means that her body double gets to have sperm drawn on her at work. What a beautiful world!

The show was picked up for a second season, which fortunately means more temporary sperm tats and tears are in the future.
