Curious about curved monitors, but don't want to break the bank making the switch? Amazon's deal on the Samsung Odyssey G5 can totally transform your gaming experience for less than $300.

As of March 10, the Samsung 32-inch Odyssey G55C curved gaming monitor is down to only $249.99 at Amazon and Samsung's own website. That's 28% or $100 off its original list price of $349.99.

The 32-inch 2560x1440 QHD display features a 1000R curvature and 16:9 aspect ratio, which means the screen will wrap around your field of view. A 1000R curve is considered the ideal curve for a monitor, as it's the closest match to the human field of view, according to MSI. This helps reduce eye strain, enhances depth, and makes for a more immersive gaming experience overall. That being said, it does take some getting used to.

The Odyssey G55C monitor also features a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, AMD Radeon FreeSync, HDR10, and an eye-saver mode that reduce screen flickering and keep your eyes relaxed during extended gaming periods. It's not the most premium monitor on the market, but Samsung monitors have a solid reputation. If you're looking to upgrade to a curved monitor that can handle gaming, work, and everyday scrolling and streaming, but you're balling on a budget, this is an option well worth your consideration — especially now that it's $100 cheaper.
