As Mashable's tech editor, I've been scouting out the best tech deals from the Amazon Big Spring Sale 2026. Well, here's one for the early adopters: Xreal's augmented reality smart glasses are back down to their lowest-ever prices, with savings up to 22% on offer.

So, if you've been eyeing smart glasses, this is your chance to try them out. I've been busy this year testing smart glasses, and so far, the Xreal One Pro is the best model I've tried, and the only pair I actually use in my personal life.

And don't forget: The Amazon spring sale ends at midnight PT tonight, and this will be the last big sale until Prime Day later this year.

Why I like Xreal smart glasses

Smart glasses are still a novel technology, and there are many different kinds. Personally, I strongly prefer smart glasses without cameras, as I worry about the privacy implications of these smart glasses going mainstream.

Unlike the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, Xreal makes augmented reality glasses. When you put them on, they project a large virtual screen into the space around you. You plug them into your phone, laptop, or gaming device via a USB-C cable, giving you an extra screen to use. I've found they're really useful when working on a plane and other cramped spaces.

The Xreal One Pro are the glasses I've personally tested and use, and they're the leading AR glasses of the moment. However, Xreal recently released the 1S model, which offers some key upgrades — at a lower price.

In addition to extending your screen for enhanced productivity, the Xreal 1S glasses are made for watching movies and gaming. They can project a virtual screen up to 500 inches in size. With both glasses, you can either anchor the screen to a particular spot in your field of view or have the screen follow your eyes.

Honestly, it feels like something out of science fiction.

Check them out at Amazon before the Big Spring Sale ends.
