Margot Robbie shares first look at Harley Quinn in 'Birds of Prey'
"Miss me?"
Margot Robbie's take on Harley Quinn, which first debuted in the messy Suicide Squad, will have a chance at redemption in Birds of Prey, due out on Feb. 7, 2020.
On Monday, Robbie took to Instagram with a first look at her colorful new punk-meets-clown costume.
Birds of Prey drills even deeper into DC Comics deep cut territory. Post-Suicide rumors had originally predicted a standalone Harley Quinn feature, but at some point that transformed into this ensemble team-up about an all-female squad of crimefighters.
Robbie will be joined in the upcoming movie by teammates Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Rosie Perez as Huntress, Black Canary, and Renee Montoya (who eventually took on the mantle of the Question in the comics), respectively, per THR. Ewan McGregor will also appear, as the longtime Batman villain, Black Mask.
Not long after Robbie's Instagram post surfaced, a mysterious 19-second video -- featuring Robbie in costume, along with flashes of other actors in Birds of Prey (seemingly in costume as well) -- showed up. The YouTube account belongs to "CheekySneakyPeeky" and it appears to be brand new. While it's possible this is just the work of a dedicated fan and video editor, the more likely explanation for the video is it's some kind of trailer tease.
