Mariah Carey and James Packer are having a breakup moment
Mariah Carey is having a moment. An emancipation of Mimi, if you will.
The untouchable diva and her betrothed -- powerful tycoon (and sometime brawler) James Packer -- seem to be splitting up.
Like a super yacht crashed onto the turquoise Amalfi coastline, their relationship is very much on the rocks. Now the living legend is free to pursue her individual greatness once more.

After days of rumours and speculation from outlets claiming both parties were cheating and Carey was spending their money on extravagantly weird things, Mariah's people have finally spoken out.
"Mariah Carey and James Packer had a fight in Greece. They have not seen each other since," the singer's reps said in a statement on morning TV programme Sunrise.
"The fight was not because of cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah. James is one of the most successful businessmen in the world,” the statement said. Which seems like a weird segue, but sure.
"They are trying to work it out but right now they are not sure if they will stay together. They are discussing it and plan to release a statement about their future."
That doesn't sound promising.
Could it have something to do with Carey's upcoming reality show iconic documentary, Mariah's World? Not sure.
Although Carey did imply Packer wasn't into it when she told E! he appeared only occasionally as a "shadowy" figure.

One thing we do know is that this eight-part series looks EPIC.
If breaking up with your media heir/businessman boyfriend is what it takes to "do Mimi," then God dammit, that's what Mimi should do.
