Mark Hamill is very much alive and if you've heard anything about his death—even from his official Twitter account—then you've been duped by some 🚨 fake news. 🚨

The Star Wars actor poked fun at a tweet that claimed Hamill had passed away, and shared his sentiments for, well, himself with some apt hashtags.

A fake Huffington Post twitter account broke the fake news with a simple tweet and image of a young Luke Skywalker. "Mark Hamill actor who played Luke Skywalker dies at 65," the tweet read.

A very much alive Hamill took the opportunity to trick us all when he retweeted the "announcement."

"MUCH OF NATION MOURNS- RIP...a wonderful-underrated and beloved icon. Truly a legend in his own mind," Hamill wrote, before adding "#SoGladIGotToMeetHim #KindaSad" as hashtags.

His tweet elicited some hilarious reactions from fans, some who believed him.

As for the fans that prematurely began mourning the legend—let's all take a collective deep breath and celebrate his life instead.
