Marlana VanHoose's national anthem is the best part of the Republican convention so far

Nominating conventions are beautiful, often painful, pieces of political theater, with everyone vying for a starring role.

It'll be difficult for anyone to one-up Marlana VanHoose, who stole the convention with her performance of the national anthem tonight.

VanHoose, who has cerebral palsy and was born blind, previously attracted attention for her knockout performance at Game Six of the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Finals.
