On Thursday, Martin Shkreli was told he would face trial for fraud -- but the pharmaceutical executive appeared to have other, more pressing issues on his mind.

On the top of that list was Pokémon Go.

UPDATE: July 15, 2016, 7:29 p.m. EDT An earlier version of the story said Shkreli faced charges. It should have read "faced trial."

After leaving court on Thursday, a New York Daily News reporter overheard Shkreli allegedly telling his lawyer, "Can I play Pokémon Go now?"

Like a child who's misbehaved and now seeks forgiveness from a pushover parent, Shkreli appeared to be seeking respite from his impending trial.

Shkreli, the "pharma bro" once dubbed "the world's most hated man," is best known for hiking the price of a drug used to treat people with HIV or cancer, Daraprim. Priced initially at $13.50 a pill, Shkreli raised the price of a drug to $750 per pill.

In India, prices for the generic drug hover around 4 cents.

Shkreli is currently on trial for defrauding investors, though the case is unrelated to price gouging. The trial is delayed until July 26th, after Shkreli's Ben Brafman asked for more time so that he could plan complex motions.

In the meantime, Shkreli can put off his doom by refocusing his attention on capturing Pokémon.

Just because he's a "hateful" "pharmadouche" and a "soft killer," doesn't mean he doesn't like human things, too.

Go catch 'em all, Shkreli -- and this time, don't keep the PokéProfits for yourself.
