Matt Bomer is a huge Love, Simon fan, and he wants to make sure other people realize the importance of the film.

In a generous gesture, the actor bought out an entire movie theater in his hometown of Spring, Texas, so dozens of people would be able to see the movie for free.

"Please come see @lovesimonmovie in my hometown of Spring, TX for free!" Bomer wrote on Instagram. "...This is an important movie, and a really good one. I know you’ll love it so come watch for free this Sunday!”

Love, Simon tells the story of Simon Spier, a teenage boy who decides to come out to his friends and family after high school presents questions about true love and personal identities. Fans have also raved about how relatable and important the film is for members of the LGBTQ communities.

Bomer publicly came out in 2012 while delivering an acceptance speech at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards while being honored for his work to fight HIV/AIDS. The father of three has since used his platform to discuss his sexual orientation and share personal experiences he encountered after realizing he was gay in his teenage years.

"Telling your family is a huge, huge deal. I really view my life as divided between the time before I told my parents, and the time after," the 40-year-old told OUT Magazine in May 2017. "And the decisions I made, and the life I lived, before and after, are vastly different. It’s night and day."

Bomer bought out a movie theater for a 4:00 p.m. Love, Simon showing on Sunday, March 25. According to his Instagram post, free tickets will be available at the door.

The actor is the latest to join a group of celebrities, including actress Kristen Bell, YouTube star Tyler Oakley, Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi of Pentatonix, and YouTube stars Joey Graceffa and Daniel Preda who've rented out theaters to send fans to see the film. Love, Simon director Greg Berlanti and his husband Robbie Rogers also bought out screenings in Missouri and Kentucky.

Aside from Love, Simon, people paying to send others to see impactful movies has become an ever-growing trend. Recently 14-year-old Taylor Richardson created a GoFundMe to raise money to send hundreds of girls to see A Wrinkle In Time. Chance the Rapper has also sent fans in Chicago to see Marshall and Get Out for free. And actresses Octavia Spencer and Taraji P. Henson bought out a theaters in the past so low-income families would be able to see Hidden Figures.

If you want to find out what Bomer sees in the film, Love, Simon is in theaters now.
