'Metal Gear Survive' is a four-player zombie game for some reason
The baddies in Metal Gear Survive might not be actual undead, but they're zombie-like enough.
Konami's first post-Kojima Metal Gear game amounts to a franchise remix, pitting up to four players against swarms of deadly creatures in a hostile environment. The debut trailer is more about setting the tone than showcasing gameplay, but you get the idea.
Survive is described as a cooperative stealth game, so it seemingly will stick with some of the core ideas from earlier Metal Gear games. The trailer suggests that the game's heroes are all unique characters, with their own personalities and special gear.

The Metal Gear Survive story is effectively a spin-off, picking up after the events of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, but in an alternate timeline. Wormholes are the culprit, though the "how" and "why" of all this remains a mystery.
There are obviously lots of questions about this one, but Konami is keeping details quiet for now. Metal Gear Survive is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017.
