News anchor saves the day when meteorologist's earring pops off during broadcast

Sometimes heroes wear capes, other times they wear a suit and report the news.

Reporters don't just broadcast the news -- sometimes they happen to make the news via on-air bloopers. And when they do, well, we relish in the hilarious results.

6ABC meteorologist Cecily Tynan suffered a minor wardrobe malfunction when her earring popped off while reporting the weather. Although she was a bit rattled because she "really liked that earring," she continued the broadcast like a seasoned champ.

Then, in the middle of the live broadcast, anchor Jim Gardner swoops in, and like a hawk on a mission, finds Tynan's missing jewelry, hands it back to her, and wanders off screen.

The surprise cracks up Tynan, who calls the interruption her "favorite moment ever on Action News."
