One snake's journey from innocent reptile to cold blooded meth addict and back again? It's real.

An unnamed python in western Sydney, Australia, was seized on a drug raid more than seven months ago, according to Yahoo7 News. After months of exposure to fumes and air particles while living in the drug lab, the snake was, yes, addicted to meth.

Snakes are popular guard animals for drug labs because they're low maintenance and, duh, people are afraid of snakes.

Authorities brought the python to the Corrective Services NSW Wildlife Care Centre in Windsor, where senior manager Ian Mitchell described it as "totally on edge, jittery, slithering and wanting to strike."

That kind of behavior is unusual for a python. According to Mitchell they're typically snappy at most: "they're constrictors and not poisonous, and they just lie around." But this one's drug habit caused it to be "very aggressive and had very erratic behaviour."

Seven months later, the python has been weaned off the drug and is ready to enter a loving, certified reptile keeper home. Where his life rights can be purchased for the inevitable AMC hit drama spinoff: SNAKING BAD. Would watch.
