Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson announce birth of their son
Michael Phelps has hit a milestone even more important than a gold medal.
Phelps and his fiancée, model Nicole Johnson, welcomed Boomer Robert Phelps into their family this week on Thursday.

On Saturday, the former Olympic swimmer posted a photo of the smiling family — in all its adorable glory — to Instagram.
"Healthy and happy!!! Best feeling I have ever felt in my life!!!" he wrote.
Phelps also announced Johnson's pregnancy on Instagram — a full eight weeks after they learned they were going to be parents.
Does a celebrity event only count after it hits the 'gram? Was Boomer's true birthday ... on Saturday?
Anyway, we assume Boomer has already started swimming.
