Cause of death: sequins

If anyone on this earth can pull off thigh-high, iridescent, gold sequin boots, it's Michelle Obama.

On her Becoming book tour, the former First Lady and bestselling author showed up to her interview with Sarah Jessica Parker in New York City's Barclays Center wearing yellow and gold tone Balenciaga from head to toe. But it was the boots that really stole the show.

Which makes total sense, because just look at them. It takes a lot to upstage SJP's shoe game, but Obama did it.

According to Vox, Obama addressed the boots on stage during the interview. Apparently, there was no meaning behind the boots.

“They were just really cute,” Obama told Parker, per Vox. “I was like, ‘Those some nice boots!’”

We agree.

The boots, priced at $3,900 (£3,078) freaked out people all over Internetsville.

For some people, the boots seemed to represent what we all want to be in life; unapologetically dazzling.

This holiday season, be thankful that you were lucky enough to exist at the same time as these boots.
