Michelle Obama poured her heart out on stage at Democratic convention
It's been a long night of political heavy hitters at the Democratic National Convention, but First Lady Michelle Obama has officially stolen the show.
After a long night punctuated by heavy storms and Bernie Sanders supporters booing, Obama came on stage and brought together an entire auditorium. Though she mocked Trump for being a "140 character" candidate, her speech seemed primed to be retweeted, reshared, rewatched.
"When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, we don't stoop to their level," Obama said.
But it wasn't just a Trump takedown -- Obama gave a ringing endorsement of Hillary Clinton as well.
"Because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters, and all our sons and daughters, now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States."
All across Twitter, the most sarcastic of social platforms, pundits and tweeters couldn't help but be earnest.
