Microsoft just relaunched Paint, and it's exactly what you think it is

While we've all moved on from Microsoft Paint, Microsoft is still holding onto it like a precious child.

At Wednesday's big Microsoft Event, the company relaunched the old school drawing application that you probably spent hours on in high school and haven't thought about in years – with a 3D twist.

During the event, Megan Saunders, general manager at Microsoft, showed the audience how to take 3D photos.

Then, Saunders revealed Microsoft's new program for editing your 3D images: Paint 3D.

It's basically the old Paint you know and sort of love, except you can now draw in 3D and create horrifying emoji.
