Mike Pence might be running to be vice president of the United States -- but he's desperate to show us he's just a regular guy.

On Tuesday, CNN produced a Facebook Live video of Pence getting his hair cut at Henry Jones' barbershop in Norristown, Pennsylvania. It was supposed to be a moment for the campaign to communicate its reach to everyday voters. The only problem?

This everyday voter had no idea who Pence was.

“And your name was?” the barber asked while shaking hands with the nominee.

“Mike Pence. I’m the governor of the state of Indiana, and I’m running for vice president of the United States," Pence said.

While Pennsylvania is traditionally a battleground state, recent polls give Clinton an 84.9 percent chance of winning the state. In recent days, Trump has also made overtures to black voters in the state, where he struggles to maintain support. Some polls put his support at approximately 2 percent, or even lower.

All across Twitter, people reacted to Pence's Facebook Live with jokes.
