President Donald Trump, his wife Melania, and a host of senior White House officials departed Friday for Trump's first overseas trip since taking office. He'll head to Saudi Arabia first and then make stops in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Vatican City, Brussels, and Sicily over the course of his nine-day trip.

Meanwhile, Vice President Mike Pence stayed behind in D.C., where he has the delightful task of quietly weathering the onslaught of scoops regarding the Trump administration's interactions with Russia. But before he does that, he did drop by the White House to see Trump and his associates off.

This leads us to the question: What's Mike Pence thinking about in this photo?
