It's been 13 years since the first episode of Hannah Montana landed on the Disney Channel, and Miley Cyrus has marked the occasion with a sweet Twitter tribute.

The 26-year-old pop icon shared a photograph of her younger self, with a caption noting the significant date for the beloved series.

"It's the 13th anniversary of the first HM episode to air," she wrote. The pilot episode of Hannah Montana, titled "Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret?" premiered on March 24, 2006.

According to Billboard, the image shows Cyrus at the Nashville airport, ready to fly to Los Angeles to the Hannah Montana set. So, she did hop off the plane at LAX, but we see no cardigan.

It wasn't the thing Cyrus posted though, with the star posting a handful of superb throwbacks to her Instagram Story, all expertly self-aware, with references to her infamous 2013 VMAs performance.

Papa Cyrus, Billy Ray, shared a sweet anniversary message on Twitter too, featuring fellow cast members Emily Osment, Jason Earles, and Mitchel Musso.

Fans also celebrated the show's 13th anniversary with their own memories of the show.

Hannah Montana finished up in 2011, after four wildly successful seasons.

Everything wasn't always easy for Cyrus while shooting and promoting the show, especially when she eventually had to balance Hannah Montana tours with her own as a solo artist.

"I think what was hard for me was balancing everything," Cyrus told CBS in 2017 of her Hannah Montana days. "I think it got harder when I started touring as both — I toured as Hannah Montana and as myself."

It's pretty hard having the best of both worlds.
