Watch Miley Cyrus take over Ellen DeGeneres' hosting gig

"I've never hosted a show with my clothes on"

"I am Ellen DeGeneres," Miley Cyrus declared, after dancing her way onto The Ellen Degeneres set to take over hosting the show on Wednesday.

DeGeneres, who was sick during the taping of Sept. 28 episode, enlisted The Voice coach to fill her role as host—and things definitely had that special Cyrus flare.

"I know all of you came to see Ellen so I'm going to do my best to make you very happy," she said, explaining that to prepare she dressed like Ellen, smelled like Ellen, and even gave her Molly to help fend off her sickness.

"Thank you for making me feel so welcome," she said. "I've never hosted a show with my clothes on, this is so weird."

Cyrus showed off her dance moves and monologue skills, but later in the show also had an opportunity to switch roles and be the one asking the questions. Sarah Jessica Parker stopped by to play a game of "5 second rule" and talk about her new show, Divorce.

Idina Menzel also was a guest on the show, and the two chatted about being Frozen and whether or not there will be LGBTQ characters in the sequel—and bonded over being "servants of Disney."

While "The Miley Cyrus Show" is just a Saturday Night Live sketch of the past, it might finally time to make it a reality.
