Miley Cyrus' virtual 'The Climb' performance is the inspiration you need today
Life after graduation can feel like an uphill battle, especially for the class of 2020. To celebrate graduates whose commencement ceremonies were canceled due to the coronavirus, Facebook and Instagram hosted #Graduation2020, a series of virtual speeches and performances by celebrities.
Miley Cyrus joined the lineup with a moving performance of her 2009 single "The Climb."
The full live broadcast was hosted by The Office favorites Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak, and included appearances by Cardi B, Malala, Gloria Estefan, Hugh Jackman, Selena Gomez, Oprah, and more. Facebook and Instagram made a point to name every school in 50 states and to highlight students and educators who couldn't celebrate graduation as planned.
