Dance crazes come and go -- and some just refuse to leave.

While the Harlem Shake and 'Uptown Funk' parodies have gladly ended, there's a new strange dance in town: the mannequin dance. All across the internet, young people are filming videos of themselves dancing with mannequin heads for reasons the universe just can't explain.

It does look pretty funny.

New York Magazine's Select All first discovered the phenomenon, and now all of us are watching against our will.

Tinaddie (Tina and Addie) appear to have originated the trend with a series of YouTube videos that will give you life (or death, depending on how you feel about mannequins).

But it wasn't just limited to Tina and Addie. Shortly afterwards, fans of the two made their own mannequin dance videos. The rest is history.
