'Minecraft' is coming to where it belongs – TV
What's one more?
Minecraft is already playable on 14 different operating systems, but that number will rise to 15 when the world-building game comes to Apple TV. Apple boss Tim Cook announced during the company's Oct. 27 livestream that it would be released for the diminutive TV box by the end of 2016.
The announcement is especially noteworthy given that Minecraft is owned by Microsoft, Apple's chief competitor-slash-mortal enemy in the PC operating system race. The Windows gatekeeper acquired Swedish developer Mojang in 2014 for $2.5 billion.

It's not clear how Minecraft will work on Apple TV or which version of the game will release there. It's likely to be Minecraft: Pocket Edition, given that it's already available for iOS, the same thing that Apple TV runs on.
Assuming it's not a totally new and different version of the game, Minecraft: Pocket Edition on Apple TV should take advantage of the game's recently added cross-platform play features, meaning users on all different kinds of hardware can group up and play together.
