Missing garden gnome returns home after 8-month adventure
Bev York of British Columbia, Canada, was puzzled when her garden gnome Leopold mysteriously disappeared one day.
She was even more confused when the gnome was returned eight months later with a book chronicling his adventures.
As reported by Canada's Global News, York suddenly noticed the gnome hanging on her gate in a plastic bag, attached to a book filled with stories and photos from his eight months traveling around North America in a motor home.

The book shows Leopold vacationing with a couple, a kid and two dogs, but York frustratingly cannot identify her gnome's benefactors.
While the anonymous family's idea is delightfully weird, they aren't the first to do it.
The "traveling gnome prank" was first recorded in 1986 in Australia's Sydney Morning Herald. It was also depicted in the 2001 movie Amelie.
Leopold is now happy to reside in Bev York's garden again, although he's having trouble getting over jetlag.
